Eric Lock as a Pilot Officer became the top scoring RAF Ace in the Battle of Britain, but like many pilots that survived the Battle if Britain, only to ne killed during the wasteful Fighter Sweeps of 1941/42. Along with Douglas Bader who was shot down and taken POW, Lock was shot down and he and his aircraft were lost in August 1941
